Colts Neck may be one of Monmouth County’s most affluent suburbs but many people choose to move here because of its open spaces and close proximity to the Jersey Shore. Colts Neck is protected from over-development by the towns Farmland Preservation Committee, which through joint efforts have managed to preserve over 1000 acres, keeping out urban development and chain retailers. Although the township has over 11 parks, Colts Neck is best known for its equestrian nature which is on full display at Bucks Mills Park, the only fully equipped regulation polo field.
